A Heart's Cry

A Heart's Cry

Hi, guys. I finally got my lazy ass up and came back to my blog. I can't believe I didn't write for like 6-7 months. I suck. I know. I actually lost my blog months ago because of a problem I encountered, so I got to work opening another one but I stopped because... Drumroll... I got into college and was super busy with classes and walking around and having fun.

And the fact that I was having issues with my computer which got bad, luckily  before my exams started, so I was able to focus on studying for a while till I got home and got another one. I thought I'd lost Manny's Thoughts on Everything forever but I got it back. I have somethings to say and some people will take a look at the length of this post and run but I urge you to read on. It's important.

So, college. It's a bit different than I built it up to be in my head, but the first thing that hit me was the word and air of Freedom. It was so relieving as a teenager to be on your own but still dependent, although I need to be independent as a young woman it's going to take a bit of a while but we can't say, people.

I made mistakes, friends, allies and enemies ( not sure who they are but I know they're there) - I mean not everyone can stand my awesomely weird aura - so it's all good.

Lately, I've been burdened and saddened by these events happening in Nigeria. It seems like a build-up, like things will keep getting worse until we figure out what we need to do to solve this once and for all. You know whenever a saddening story comes out about either murders or corruption, everyone takes to the Internet to voice their opinions and thoughts and then clashes and controversies are borne.

It did not begin now, murdering innocent people and corruption have always existed but now, now it seems to revolve around the group of people called the "Fulani Herdsmen". A lot of us ran for our lives and moved to other nations and lived better lives if I may say. But the rest of us that are here, people who can't even afford it, who don't have the guts to go are still here struggling and suffering  what can we do? Someone has to fight, right ?

Now, the first thing to do is to get correct up-to-date information on what's going on, because not everything we read or hear is true, some are made up to incite controversies to keep our eyes off the real issues.

With that done, we need to think well on it before causing more controversies or problems for ourselves. We need to stop living under a rock like I do for example, I keep off all that because it's depressing and I feel like there's nothing a young person like me can do with no independence or funds but say what, how about we speak out, exercise our right to freedom of speech before it's taken away from us too. The more we ignore what's going on in Nigeria, the harder and more painful it'll be when the repercussions comes and hits us unawares.

Then, when cases like; The Chairman of the group,  Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Alhaji Abdullahi Bodejo who declared that land all over Nigeria belongs to the Fulani because there are no ranches, he said the Fulani men are hated and those who were in favour of the anti-grazing law hated the Fulani.

When thousands of people are killed by the hands of these Fulani herdsmen, hundreds of farmlands destroyed which is bringing down our economy, who would want them in their State?

They are mostly pretend foot soldiers who parade cows as means to perpetrate evil and are being sponsored by the government who steal our money and hold our hands behind our backs and then give us something to chew on to distract our attention from the fact that if we take a closer look at what's going on, we'll see that we are very close to losing our homeland.

They say there's a lot of revenue coming from the cattle business but are we receiving the profits? No! They use the money to sponsor these same men and put guns in their hands which they in turn use to kill us in droves.

And yet WE EAT THESE COWS! We eat them, we buy from them, we provide them with the funds to destroy us by turning a blind eye from it and see the meat as delicious, we even forget the fact that such amount of red meat is not good for our health. See hypocrisy.

I don't want to pass blames but seriously the problem is with us all. The way we train ourselves and the morals we are imparted with, create the kind of leaders we'll become. They are gathering all the Fula people in preparation for their hostile take-over of Nigeria to make this place their new home.

Even apart from these cow dung, look at how accidents (gas explosions, truck accidents and our unsafe roads etc) keep happening, and we're looking up to  corrupt leaders to protect us and stop all these deaths.

We're all crying " oh, oh, why don't do something Mr President?" Is it that man that'll save us? Oh please, he's a Fulani man with little to no education who is there as a cover to all our leaders.

What we need is Action in accordance to the word of God and Prayer! We need to pray  and act. Proverbs 18:21 says " Death and life are in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat its fruits" meaning if you keep cursing Nigeria think again.

We need to pray In accordance to the bible, not just any kind of prayer, sincere heart-felt prayers for God's mercy. With that I urge you to read this Bible passage carefully;

Joel 2:12-21
[12]Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
[13]And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
[14]Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?
[15]Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:
[16]Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
[17]Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?
[18]Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.
[19]Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:
[20]But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.
[21]Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things.

I know you might have skipped through it. But if not now, read through it later. Think on it and pray, use wisdom to approach the news that comes out in tree newspapers. Try as much as you can to speak out with wisdom.

When your land is on the brink of war and extinction, we need to focus. Happy New Month from Manny. Don't forget to go through my previous posts and comment and share the link. Thank you. ❤❤❤❤.
